Area Manager

Responsible for managing all aspects of an assigned area of Vera Bradley outlet stores including but not limited to:
sales, merchandising, operations, customer service and human resources activities in accordance with company objectives and standards.

Manage and maximize area sales and customer experience objectives, while maintaining sales and customer experience objectives in Home StoreEnsure adherence to established company policies, procedures, and all Human Resource related issuesPartner with DistrictManager/Channel Director to hire, train and recruit store managementAssist in corporate training, developing curriculum and training schedulesAct as a liaison to home office in determining policies and procedures specific to outlet storesParticipate in new store opening process with in assigned areaPartner with District Manager/Channel Director to coach, counsel, and develop members of store managementCollaborate with corporate marketing to drive localized marketing initiativesCommunicate, execute, and follow up on all retail directives, marketing/visual and promotional initiativesAssist in the development of sales targets for assigned areaParticipate in special events and promotions/projectsAssist area to achieve store goals for payroll, loss prevention, conversion, UPT and ADSReview store schedules with District Manager/Channel Director to ensure proper staffing utilizing store traffic dataOrganize and lead weekly store management meetings to ensure profitability of the areaCollaborate with cross functional teams to achieve store level business process improvement and outlet channel best practicesCollaborate with Visual Merchandising to execute merchandise and visual strategies, to achieve outlet objectivesMaintain store compliance operation records and process reportsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh School Graduate or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management or related field preferredPrior retail experience strongly preferred3
years retail management experience required; or proven ability as a Vera Bradley store manager requiredSpeciality retail sales experience preferredMulti-store management preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
